About

My Story

I’m Briana – wife, mom, and someone determined to thrive while living with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). My journey has included years of prescription medicines, countless doctor visits, and trying every trending product promising relief. Through all of this, I discovered something important: the path to better health might be found in returning to simpler, more natural ways of living.

This realization changed everything. As I dug deeper, I began to see how our modern lifestyle affects our health in ways we don’t expect. From the food on our plates to the products in our homes, even down to the water we drink – we’re surrounded by chemicals and toxins that impact our wellbeing. In our rush for convenience, we’ve traded our health for faster cooking times and longer shelf life.

The Overwhelming Reality

When you start learning about these issues, it can feel paralyzing. Discovering that your daily life involves thousands of chemicals – some even disguised as ‘healthy’ or ‘organic’ – leaves you wondering where to begin. Which changes matter most? What should you tackle first? How can you make these changes without breaking the bank?

Why I Created This Blog

Like you, I’ve felt overwhelmed by information overload, frozen and unsure how to take that first step. With so much (often conflicting) information available, it’s hard to know what actually works. That’s exactly why I created this space.

Through years of searching for better health solutions, I’ve learned two key things: there’s no one-size-fits-all answer, and we shouldn’t have to figure this out alone. I know many others are on similar journeys, seeking answers and solutions. By sharing my experiences – both successes and failures – I hope to make your path to better health a little easier.

Why “Moving to Natural”?

The name of this blog carries special meaning. “Moving” represents my physical journey with AS, where movement isn’t just beneficial – it’s essential for managing the condition. “Natural” captures my gradual transition toward simpler, cleaner living. Every step, whether literal or figurative, moves us forward on this path to better health. Sometimes those steps are small, sometimes they’re challenging, but they all matter.

My Approach

Just like managing AS, moving to natural living doesn’t happen overnight – nor should it. It’s about making intentional, sustainable changes that add up to real improvements in our health and lives. I’m taking this journey one step at time, learning what works, what doesn’t, and sharing everything along the way. I’m not an expert with all the answers; I’m someone who’s learning, researching, and relying on the wisdom of those who’ve walked similar paths. My commitment is to share openly about both successes and setbacks, offering practical insights you can use in your own journey.

Beyond Managing AS

While my story starts with AS, the principles of natural living can benefit anyone looking for better health. This blog is for you if you:

  • want to better manage a chronic condition
